As of January 2026, Veryswing has been an official Access Point on the Peppol network.
This is the culmination of a rigorous certification process that requires compliance withthe Peppol authority’s technical standards as well as ISO 27001 certification.
And that’s good news for all users of Veryswing software who send or receive invoices internationally.

Timeline for the Adoption of Electronic Invoicing in Europe
Several countries are gradually adopting new regulations on electronic invoicing:
- January 2026: Belgium (with a grace period from January through March 2026), Croatia, Denmark
- February 2026: Poland
- September 2026: France
- January 2027: Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia
There are a few special cases in certain European countries:
- Portugal: Electronic invoicing is not mandatory. However, starting in January 2026, Portuguese companies issuing invoices in PDF format will be required to include a qualified electronic signature (QES)—that is, a digital signature that confirms the document’s authenticity and integrity.
- Spain: Electronic invoicing is not mandatory, but invoices must now include a QR code for verification purposes, as well as the statement “Invoice verifiable on the STA website” or “VERIFACTU.” Starting in 2027: Electronic invoicing will become mandatory for companies with annual turnover exceeding 8 million euros. And, starting in 2028: The requirement will be extended to all other companies, regardless of size or turnover.
- Italy: Electronic invoicing is mandatory, but it is managed outside of standardized European networks such as Peppol.
What is the Peppol network, and why is it important?
It is an international network that enables the exchange of structured electronic documents (such as invoices) between businesses and government agencies.
Every invoice issued passes through a Peppol network Access Point Provider, which forwards the formatted document to another Access Point Provider before the invoice is delivered to the recipient.
The Access Point Provider certification ensures that the VSActivity and VSPortage ERP systems are compatible with electronic invoicing in countries that use the Peppol standard.
In France, the equivalent of Peppol is the Chorus Pro portal.
